Happy Valentine's Day!

HAPPY VALENTINES DAY!!!! I sure hope you all enjoyed the holiday remembering those close and far away, I pray they are close in your heart no matter where they may be.

Bob spent Friday at the park where we had a Valentine party with Sarah’s home school group. He pouted at first when we pulled up at the park. I have learned not to give Bob information about where we are going. He frets too much about where, when and how. We just let him go along for the ride now.

Friday morning he was up, dressed, fed and then led off to the car for yet another adventure. Upon arriving at the park the sour look fell across the face and the “if I have to” attitude appeared. We got him out, and situated, and then the other families started arriving. The children first made Valentines for the VA. After a few cards were made we then gathered for about six different group games. Bob got to watch the children play silly relay games that reminded him of when he was in school and played similar games.

After the games it was time to eat. Everyone had brought finger foods to share with the group and we all dived in to finger sandwiches, cupcakes, brownies, and hotdogs. The brownies were Bob’s favorites. After we ate we let the kids run off and play while the adults gathered and talked about life in general. Bob had a good time after all no matter how hard he tried to pout.

After the party we delivered the Valentines to the VA and I was able to reschedule his appointment. Come find out, his Doctor had switched “teams” at the VA and so they had switched Bob with the Doctor. I know it is confusing. That is the VA for you. The good is that we get to keep the same Doctor and that is good because I like her. The bad is that we are on a new team and you have to learn how this team does things. They will tell you, “We do things just a little bit different from the other teams”. So now I have to learn all of those, “little differences” all over again.

He did get an appointment. It is this Wed. at 2:00. Yeah, I know it falls on my work day, but that is what they did and no, I can’t change it unless I want to wait three months. So I will have to work half a day on Wed., at least it will be done.

So, then after his busy day on Friday, I just couldn’t let the week end go by without taking him to Sea World on Saturday. Rob got to play with Johnny Bulford at Sea World and we now have season passes. So I dragged Bob to Sea World for him to watch Rob play and as a bonus we got to see Kenny Rogers. Bob did well from about 12:00 till about 4:00 and then he started complaining. He does not care for country music and did not want to hear Kenny Rogers at all. He was tired of sitting and his butt was hurting. I told him to stand up and walk some, but he refused. Well, when the kids start to whine it is time to head home, and that is exactly what we did. Since we have season tickets we can return at any time and stay till the kids start to whine again.

Give him a call this week end and let him share with you his trip to the park, and Sea World.
